TikTok , a social media app that lets users lip-sync to songs and audio, is shutting down in late 2020 due to many users leaving the app.
We reached out to a couple of users who frequently use TikTok to hear their opinions on TikTok shutting down.
Ariel “Baby Ariel” Martin, 17, stated that she woke up and checked her emails and saw a email from TikTok saying “Thank You for Using TikTok” and she was confused, and she opened the email and read the email,

Thank you for using TikTok . Unfortunately, we are planning on shutting down TikTok in 2020 due to many users leaving the app. Late 2020, all profiles will be deleted, the app will no longer be available on the App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store.

Jacob Sartorius, 15, stated that he also read the email and that he was shocked. “I never expected TikTok to end so soon. Yes, I did see that TikTok was failing but I never saw it ending in 2020.”
