U.S NAVY Recalls Their Inactive Ready Reserve Along With Shore Duty Sailors to further “Man The Fleet”

In another attempt to strengthen numbers in the military, Sailors enrolled in Inactive Ready Reserve between 2013-2019 or currently serving “Shore Duty Orders” for a Critical Rate are subject to an involuntary recall. Letters were sent out today informing these Sailors to report to their last known Command for processing.

Sailors who have more more that 2 years of inactivity will spend 6 weeks at GreatLakes, for readiness training. These Sailors will be evaluated for physical and mental short falls, but their limitations will be addressed at GreatLakes. The U.S NAVY will issue instant waviers for their limitations, to prepare them for their recall service.

Training for them will begin sometime in March!
